Universal Watchdog uses ICMP-packages to ping the devices in your network and checks, which devices are responding and which do not. If a device does not respond, you have multiple ways to set off alerts (e-mail, sounds or optical alerts). Furthermore you can check the existence or nonexistence of files on computers in your network. With this feature you can check processes on your servers. Version 1.0 build 1.0.105 may include some bug fixes and minor improvements. Tests under Windows 2003 Server proved Universal Watchdog works under this OS.
