Arm your browser with yet another free toolbar, but this one is more notable for its added features than its main claims of actual PC protection. The Gadgetbar Toolbar for Internet Explorer lines up buttons to test your firewall and scan and fix your PC of spyware, viruses, and hackers. Now, it doesn t actually do any of this, but it gives a listing of different free sites and software to perform each of these tasks when you click on the respective button. It does, however, perform some tracks cleaning like clearing your IE cache, history, and cookies.

Its feature set is a little more impressive. Its radio station feature lets you select from any of the given stations by music genre and add additional stations. You ll be able to get quick weather forecasts by typing in the city name, after which the current temperature will remain in the pull-down menu on the bar. We can t offer any accolades for Gadgetbar s touted security features, but folks looking for quickie cleanups and some dashboard tunes can put this download to good use.
