Beacon Auditor 1.7
The Beacon Auditor is a software package designed for proactive network scanning, inventory and analysis. It was created to maximize productivity for network consultants and IT administrators in their task of network discovery and documentation. How does the Beacon Auditor work? The software is installed on any Windows XP or Vista machine (laptop, desktop or server). It quickly scans the network for devices, identifies each device and scans it for open ports, then performs an in-depth hardware and software inventory utilizing standard technologies such as WMI, RPC, SSH and SNMP. It is agentless – no software is required on the devices being scanned and inventoried. Additionally, it stores scan and inventory data points for multiple dates, customers, and customer sites. The Beacon Auditor comes pre-built with the capability to handle a customer with only one site and/or customers with multiple, disparate sites and networks. Version 1.7 includes an update to the user interface.
